As per the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State, there is already a missing report of the girl.
I cannot grant protection for whom there is a missing report.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has stated that Nikah has been performed recently between the petitioners.
However, it is provided that in case, they appear before the police authorities and approach the concerned Superintendent of Police/Senior Superintendent of Police, who shall examine petitioners' grievance and take all steps, as may be warranted in law, to ensure that life and liberty of the petitioners is not interfered with by private respondents, keeping in view the observations made by the Apex Court in Lata Singh vs. State of U.P., AIR 2006 SC 2522.
