By order dated 20.12.2017 in Writ C No. 61409 of 2017 filed by the applicant, a direction was issued to District Magistrate to conclude pending enquiry against the Pradhan within three months from the date of production of a certified copy of the order.
On matter being taken up today, Sri P.K. Giri, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has placed on record the decision taken by District Magistrate dated 23.7.2018 concluding the enquiry. The order states that in the enquiry, it transpired that the charges levelled against Gram Pradhan are baseless.
Since a decision has already been taken by the opposite party in compliance of the direction issued by the writ Court, therefore, no good ground is made out to proceed any further in the instant matter.
The contempt application is disposed of accordingly.
