JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent not to fix target for the ophthalmic assistants in cataract operations, which would lead to negligence and improper treatment to the patients and implement the Guidelines of the National Programme for Control of Blindness, which is incorporated in the Eleventh Five Year Plan, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.Heard both sides.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter as of now and also seeks liberty to approach the authority concerned as and when required.
4.Granting such liberty, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
