Petitioners are the absolute owners and in possession of 1.84 Acres of property in Chakkittapara Village in Quilandy Taluk. 2. According to the petitioners, this property is exempted from the ceiling proceedings. The petitioners rely on Ext.P2. The Revenue Authorities refused to accept land tax from the petitioners as if the proceedings have not been concluded under the Kerala Land Reforms Act.
Acceptance of land tax from the petitioners will not a bar in initiating the proceedings against the petitioners' property if otherwise warranted. Therefore, subject to any challenge against Ext.P2 or otherwise, the land tax shall be accepted to the petitioners forthwith.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
