This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.12 of 2016 on the file of the respondent.
2. Alleging connivance of the former Sub-Registrars of Thiruporur Sub-Registrar Office with another, with a mala fide intention to cheat, grab and sell the property of the petitioner, by way of forged documents, the petitioner made a complaint on 19.10.2015 to the Superintendent of Police, Kancheepuram District and the same was forwarded to the respondent herein for investigation and after a delay of more than five months, a case in Crime No.12 of 2016 came to be registered against the accused under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471 r/w 34 of IPC by the respondent police. But no enquiry has been taken up till now on the complaint. It is further stated that the petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 77 years and he is planning to settle his property upon his children.
3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.12 of 2016 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
