ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.
A short prayer made by the petitioner is that his appeal dated 21.10.2013 pending before the respondents 1 and 2 be disposed of.
The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has not filed any appeal, but he along with some others gave a representation to the District Collector and the said representation cannot be considered as an appeal, and more over, the District Collector is not the appellate authority.
After hearing the learned counsel on either side, without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the petitioner to file appeal before the concerned appellate authority within a period of 2 (two) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and on such appeal being filed, the concerned appellate authority shall dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of 2 (two) months thereafter.
The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
