JUDGMENT / ORDER

When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, separate affidavits have been filed by the petitioners as well as the second respondent/ de facto complainant.
2. In the affidavit filed by the petitioners, it is stated that the first petitioner has entered into a compromise with the second respondent and as per the compromise, the first petitioner has to pay a sum of Rs.30,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Lakhs Only) to the second respondent as full and final settlement and also a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Lakhs Only) to the minor child Master Vaikunth. It is further stated that the said amounts have been paid by way of demand drafts. Stating so, it is prayed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.3 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent, on the ground that the dispute has been amicably settled between them.
3. In the affidavit filed by the second respondent / de facto complainant, it is stated that the dispute between the first petitioner and herself had been settled and she has received the said amounts as stated by the first petitioner. Further it is stated that she has no objection to quash the impugned proceedings.
4. Both the parties are present. Their identities have been verified and they accepted the contents in the affidavits as true and genuine.
5. Recording the affidavits filed as stated supra, the proceedings in Crime No.3 of 2016 dated 18.04.2016 on the file of the first respondent, is quashed, and the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
