THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 35623 of 2014 ORDER: (Per the Hon’ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) This writ petition has been filed for a relief of refund of lifetime tax by the 3rd respondent in respect of vehicle being LMV Car bearing No.A.P. 13S 6666 on the ground that the said vehicle has become scrap and is not being used.
It appears that an application has been made to the Regional Transport Officer, Hyderabad West Zone, for refund of the lifetime tax. However, the said application has not been disposed of with a logical conclusion.
We therefore direct the Regional Transport Officer, Hyderabad West Zone, to consider the petitioner’s application dated 23.01.2014, which is at page No.16 in the writ papers, and pass a speaking order within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. It would be open for the petitioner to place all material before the Regional Transport Officer to substantiate his case.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
