JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner for conducting Santhanakudu function on 26.03.2017 at Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, has submitted that he received a report from the Inspector of Police, the fifth respondent herein, wherein it is stated that a Peace Meeting has been convened by the Tahsildar, Sankarapuram, Villupuram District. He further submitted that the fifth respondent will verify the position and if required, will place a fresh report to the authorities for consideration. The said statement is recorded.
3. It is open to the petitioner to get appropriate instructions from the authorities concerned, and file a fresh representation. On such filing, the same shall be considered by the authorities in accordance with law.
4. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
