1. The State of Tamil Nadu Rep. by the Principal Secretary to Government Higher Education (K2) Department Fort St. George Chennai - 600 009.
2. The Teachers Recruitment Board Rep. by its Chairman 4th Floor, EVK Sampath Maligai DPI Compound, College Road, Chennai - 600 003. .. Respondents in all WPs PRAYER IN WP No.24957 of 2013: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to select and appoint the petitioners as P.G Assistant (Zoology) in terms of the order dated 30.04.2013 made in G.O. Ms. No. 72 Higher Education (K2) Department passed by the 1st respondent by adding additional 2 marks for employment seniority with that of the marks obtained in the examination (110 + 2 = 112) forthwith and pass further orders.
PRAYER IN WP Nos.24958 & 24959 of 2013: These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the orders dated 11.12.2012 and 18.01.2013 published in its web site by the 2nd respondent indicating that the petitioner was not selected to the post of P.G Assistant (Mathematics) and quash the same and consequential directing the 2nd respondent to appoint the petitioners as P.G. Assistant (Mathematics) in terms of the order dated 30.04.2013 made in G.O. Ms. No. 72 Higher Education (K2) Department passed by the 1st respondent by adding additional 4 marks for teaching experience and employment seniority with that of the marks obtained in the examination (111 + 2 + 2= 115) forthwith and pass further orders.
For Petitioners : Mr. N.Sivakarthik in all WPs For Respondent : Mr. P. Rajalakshmi in all WPs Government Advocate C O M M O N O R D E R These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to the 2nd respondent to appoint the petitioners as P.G. Assistant (Zoology) and (Mathematics) in terms of the order dated 30.04.2013 made in G.O. Ms. No. 72 Higher Education (K2) Department passed by the 1st respondent by adding additional marks for teaching experience and employment seniority with that of the marks obtained in the examination forthwith and to quash the orders dated 11.12.2012 and 18.01.2013 published in its web site by the 2nd respondent indicating that the petitioners in W.P. Nos.24958 & 24959 of 2013, were not selected to the post of P.G Assistant (Mathematics).
2. Today, when the matter was taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matters have become infructuous since the petitioners have been appointed as prayed, in these writ petitions. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.
3. Recording the submission and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, these Writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected M.Ps are closed. No costs.
