ORDER: (per the Hon’ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar)
This Public Interest Litigation was filed in the context of the alleged improperly designed Telangana Government Emblem which was stated to be not in consonance with the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005.
When the matter came up before this Court on 21.07.2014, the learned Special Government Pleader stated that steps were being taken to rectify the defect as pointed in the Writ Petition.
Today, we find that the Assistant Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Telangana Secretariat, has filed a counter-affidavit detailing the steps taken to rectify the defect in the Government symbol.
The petitioner/party-in-person states that in the light of the steps taken, his grievance stands redressed and the emblem as of now is not in violation of the prescribed norms.
The Public Interest Litigation is accordingly closed.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
