Heard learned counsel for the parties.
It is stated that the petitioner is a licensed Toddy Tappers Cooperative Society, Gadwal and some of its members filed a complaint dated 12.10.2014 before the Minister of Excise and Prohibition, Telangana State, Hyderabad, marking its copies to all the respondents bringing to their notice about the illegal and unauthorized tapping of toddy trees and carrying on toddy business in the area of petitioner’s society and sought appropriate action against the culprits. Alleging inaction on the said complaint, the present writ petition is filed.
Learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise, on instructions, submits that after the complaint filed by the members of the petitioner’s society, 25 cases were registered in respect of such unauthorized and illegal toddy tapping and sales. It is also stated that even against the petitioner and his society, four cases were registered for adulteration of toddy and his licence was suspended on 2.8.2014 which is subject matter of W.P.Nos. 22091, 22492 and 22499 of 2014 filed in this Court. Since appropriate action was taken by registering 25 cases by the respondents, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition which is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
