1. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel and Sri Siddharth Singh, Advocate are present for respondents. In the circumstances, I myself have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioners have sought following reliefs:
"(i) A writ, order or direction of suitable nature commanding the respondents to disburse the contributory provident fund of the petitioners for the period 01.09.1988 to 31.03.1990 along with penal interest thereon or such rates as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court.
(ii) A writ, order or direction of suitable nature commanding the respondents to disburse to the petitioners the interest on the contributing of the respondents' council in the contributory provident fund of the petitioners for the entire period from 01.09.1988 till the date of retirement of the petitioners within a period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court and not to limit said interest only for the period 01.04.1995 till date the retirement of the petitioners;
(iii) A writ, order or direction of suitable nature commanding the respondents to disburse to the petitioners the gratuity due to the petitioners within a period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court alongwith penal rate of interest within a period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court."
3. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
