JUDGMENT / ORDER

ORDER:
A short prayer made by the petitioner is that his representation dated 07.03.2013 for compassionate appointment as per terms of G.O.Ms.No.2 Transport, Roads & Buildings (TR.II) Department, dated 05.01.2013 be considered.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
The case of the petitioner is that his father died in harness. His mother made a representation on 17.01.2003 to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds. It is submitted that the petitioner also made a representation on 07.03.2013 to the 1st and 2nd respondents to appoint him on compassionate grounds, but the same has not been considered and the 1st respondent issued proceedings dated 24.02.2014 offering additional monetary benefits, rejecting his request for compassionate appointment.
After hearing the learned counsel on either side, without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 07.03.2013 made by the petitioner for compassionate appointment in terms of G.O.Ms.No.2 Transport, Roads & Buildings (TR.II) Department, dated 05.01.2013 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
