1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Nishi Mehrotra, Advocate, holding brief of Sri Punit Kumar Gupta, learned counsel for the respondent no.1.
2. The petitioner claims to be aggrieved by the fact that his application for grant of injunction dated 03.10.2018 has remained pending for long, though service on the respondents in the proceedings pending before the Waqf Tribunal is complete, and the respondents are represented also. It is further on record that the next date fixed in the proceedings is 17.01.2019.
3. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the Tribunal to decide the aforesaid application of the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably on the next date fixed in the proceedings i.e. 17.01.2019 or soon thereafter such that the application itself may not remain pending for a period more than two months from today.
