The present writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 03.02.2017 to issue joint patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.433, 434, 437 new Survey No.461 situated at Velampadi Village, Modakoor, Keelbagam, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District.
2. Heard Mr.M.Bindran, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.M.Alaga Thevan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3. The case of the petitioners is that their father Kaleel Rahaman was the auction purchaser in O.S.No.1080 of 1969 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Karur District. The auction sale was confirmed on 19.09.1983, Since then, he had been in possession and enjoyment of the property.
4. The petitioners would state that after their father's demise, the properties were partitioned and separate portions were allotted to them. Therefore, they submitted an application through online to the respondent to include their names in the revenue records and also to issue joint patta in their names on 03.02.2017. Again, a reminder was sent on 23.02.2017. Since, no favorable order was passed, this writ petition has been filed.

Considering the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition and the facts and the submissions of the learned Counsels on either side, this Court, without going into the merits, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.02.2017 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity to the necessary parties within a period of three months.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
