Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondents 1 to 3.
The present writ petition has been filed by an estranged wife against her husband and in-laws with a prayer that the police authorities be directed to provide security to the petitioner to save her and her child from her in-laws.
From the record it is not clear that any First Information Report has been lodged by the petitioner although it appears that some letter has been addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Agra.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of petitioner's claim, we find it appropriate to dispose of this petition by giving liberty to the petitioner to lodge First Information Report or a complaint or such other proceedings, as may be advised, under appropriate provisions.
With the aforesaid liberty, the writ petition is disposed off.
