Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the respondents.
This matter pertains to the grant of arms licence which the petitioner applied on 27.07.2019 under Police Station Poora Kalandar, District- Ayodhya and is pending since then before the District Magistrate, Ayodhya.
Since the matter is too trivial to keep pending before this Court, the same may be decided at this stage, to which learned Standing counsel has no objection.
In view of above, the writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Ayodhya-respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arms licence, if he is otherwise eligible, in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him, if there is no legal impediment.
With these observations the petition stands finally disposed of.
