Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent states that the claim of the petitioner for promotion on the post of Sub Inspector shall be duly considered by the said respondent in accordance with the provisions of U.P. Police Sub Inspector and Inspector (Civil Police) Service Rules, 2015 and preferably, within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly and without going into the merits or otherwise of the claims of the petitioner, this petition is disposed of in light of the statement so made.
