S.Usharani vs The District Educational Officer

Madras High Court|13 November, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The relief sought in this writ petition is to call for the records in pursuant to the order impugned issued by the first respondent in O.Ms.No.2287/A2/2013 dated 3.5.2013 and quash the same and consequently direct the first respondent to grant appointment to the petitioner in the second respondent school with a condition that the petitioner shall acquire a pass in TET examination on or before 31.03.2015.
2.In the impugned order dated 03.05.2013, it is clearly stated that the proposal seeking approval of the appointment of the writ petitioner has been rejected owing to the fact that the writ petitioner has not passed the Teachers Eligibility Test, which is a requisite qualification for the approval of appointment and therefore, the writ petitioner has not possessed the required educational and other qualifications prescribed under the rules. There is no reason to interfere with the order impugned in this writ petition. Thus, this Court is of the opinion that there is no infirmity in the order impugned in this writ petition.
3.This apart, the writ petitioner cannot seek any extension till 31.03.2015 even in that case the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner is unable to establish that the writ petitioner has completed TET before 31.03.2015. Under these circumstances, this Court is not inclined to consider the other grounds raised in this writ petition and the merits.
Thus, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
