The prayer made in the present petition is to issue direction to the Licensing Authority/District Magistrate, Varanasi to decide the pending application dated 5.9.2018 filed by the petitioner for additional licence being a renowned shooter so as to participate in the shooting competition.
Submission is that as per the government order dated 4th October, 2014, the petitioner, being a renowned shooter, is entitled for more than one licence and upto four licences. The application dated 5.9.2018 is pending consideration.
Be that as it may, without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the present petition is being disposed of with the direction to the District Magistrate, Varanasi to decide the application of the petitioner dated 5.9.2018 moved by the petitioner and take an expeditious decision by passing a reasoned speaking order preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of certified copy of this order after completion of the necessary formalities.
The copy of the said order shall duly be sent to the petitioner.
