COMMON ORDER:
These Writ Petitions have been filed by H.T. consumers of respondent No.1 with the common grievance that in the bills issued to the petitioners for the month of July 2014, certain amounts have been included therein under the head ‘Other Charges-I’. The petitioners have averred that though they have made representations to respondent No.2 on different dates, namely, 29th, 30th and 31st October 2014, he has not considered and given the details justifying the levy of the amounts under the said head.
This Court, by interim order dated 7-11-2014 while ordering notice has granted stay of disconnection of power supply to the petitioners’ service connections for non- payment of the impugned demands.
At the hearing, Mr. O. Manohar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, submitted that as representations have been given by the petitioners to respondent No.2, the latter will consider and communicate the details and the reasons for levy of the amounts under the head ‘Other Charges-I’ to the petitioners.
In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, the Writ Petitions are disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case with the direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representations of the petitioners and communicate the details and the reasons for levy of the amounts under the head ‘Other Charges-I’ to them. Till the expiry of two weeks from the date of communication of the above mentioned details by respondent No.2 to the petitioners, interim order dated 7-11- 2014 granted in these Writ Petitions shall continue.
As a sequel to the disposal of the Writ Petitions, WPMP No.41705/2014 and WVMP No.3728/2014 in W.P.No.33357 of 2014; WPMP No.41719/2014 and WVMP No.3584/2014 in W.P.No.33370 of 2014; and WPMP No.41720/2014 and WVMP No.3721/2014 in W.P.No.33371 of 2014 are disposed of as infructuous.
