The fair price shop licence of the petitioner was suspended by order dated 01.05.2018. The sole submission pressed before this Court by Shri Mukesh Kumar, the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is desirous of joining the proceedings against him to clear his name. The petitioner is willing to tender his reply to the show cause notice. The only apprehension of the petitioner is that the proceedings shall be delayed indefinitely. The only relief claimed is that the proceedings may be decided within a stipulated period of time after the submission of his reply.
In view of the aforesaid submission, it is open to the petitioner to submit a reply within a period of four weeks from today. In case such reply is submitted to the show cause notice within the stipulated period of time, the competent authority, before whom the matter is pending, shall decide the matter within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with the reply.
It is made clear that in case, the reply is not filed within one month from today, the direction shall stand recalled.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
