Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(a) issue any other writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the Appeal No. Nil of 2018 (Surendra Kumar Vs. Narendra Kumar and others) pending before Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bindki, District - Fatehpur within a stipulated period and parties my be directed to maintain status quo on the disputed land till the disposal of the appeal"
It is stated that an appeal filed by the petitioner against an order in a mutation case is pending consideration since August 2018 and, therefore, directions be issued for its expeditious disposal.
In my considered opinion, such a long period of time has not elapsed that any direction are liable to be issued for disposal of the appeal in a time bound manner.
The writ petition is therefore, disposed of with the observation that the appellate court, should endeavour to decide the appeal as expeditiously as possible.
It is however clarified that similar matters which have remained pending for a greater period of time must necessarily be afforded precedence.
