This petition has been filed for a direction upon the Meerut Development Authority not to interfere in the peaceful possession of the petitioners over the land in dispute pursuant to the orders passed by the Supreme Court on 26 October 1987 and 26 September 1988 in Civil Appeal No.1491 of 1986 and Civil Appeal No.1508 of 1986.
It transpires from the records of the writ petition that the petitioners have already filed a representation before the Commissioner, Meerut Division Meerut which is said to be pending. A perusal of the representation indicates that the Commissioner has directed the Development Authority and the State Authorities to submit their comments. Sri Bhupeshwar Dayal learned counsel appearing for the Meerut Development Authority also states that comments have been submitted.
In this view of the matter, when the matter is engaging the attention of the Commissioner, Meerut Division Meerut, there is no good reason to entertain this petition at this stage.
The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
