By order dated 09.06.2017 in PIL No. 26649 of 2017, a direction was issued to Assistant Director to do needful in relation to encroachment made over gram sabha land, keeping in mind the law laid down by this Court in the case of "Bhole Nath and Another Vs. State of U.P. and Others, 2016 (7) ADJ 430".
Upon the matter being taken up today, Sri P.K. Giri, learned Additional Chief Standing counsel states that the order has been duly complied with. The opposite party has already passed an order of eviction against unauthorised occupants and illegal encroachments have also been removed on 29.07.2018. Certain photographs have been brought on record to show removal of illegal encroachments.
In view of the above stand, this Court does not find any good reason to proceed further in the instant contempt proceedings.The contempt application is accordingly consigned to record.
