Respondent This Criminal appeal filed under Section 374 (2) of Cr.P.C., against the Judgment and Order of conviction passed in S.C.No.85 of 2008 by order dated 16.06.2008 on the file of the learned Additional District Sessions Court (Fast Track Court No.III) Virudhachalam and prays that the same may be set aside.

O R D E R
The appeal has been filed against the order of conviction passed http://www.judis.nic.iinn S.C.No.85 of 2008 on the file of the learned Additional District Sessions Court (Fast Track Court No.III) Virudhachalam, the appellant is herein. He stood charged for the offence under Section 397 IPC. The trial Court convicted the appellant and he was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 7 years. Challenging the above said conviction and sentence, the appellant is before this court with this appeal.
2. I have heard, Ms.A.Vinu Pradha, learned counsel appearing for the appellant and Mr.V.Sekar, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the appellant has already undergone the sentence and he was also released on 01.04.2014 and he has produced a letter sent by the Superintendent of Police, Central Prison, Cuddalore dated 16.11.2017.
4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and the letter sent by the Superintendent of Police, Central Prison, Cuddalore, the appeal is dismissed, since the appellant had already undergone sentence and released.
5. While parting with the case, I appreciate the services rendered by Ms.A.Vinu Pradha, learned counsel who appeared on behalf of the appellant/accused, as Legal Aid Counsel. The Legal Services Authority is directed to pay his remuneration.
