JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.KL-09-X-9086 has been seized alleging transportation of river sand. According to the petitioner, it was only ordinary sand.
2. Petitioner earlier approached this Court in W.P(C).
No.15793 of 2011 for a direction to the second respondent to consider his application for release of the vehicle. The second respondent overruling the directions, ordered confiscation of the vehicle. Thereafter petitioner challenged the order of the second respondent before the District Collector, Palakkad in revision. Petitioner requests that revisional authority shall consider the petitioner's request for sample testing by the 4th respondent.
3. In the facts and circumstances, I am of the view the 3rd respondent shall take out sample from the lorry of the petitioner if it is available and send for analysis by the 4th respondent, which shall be done within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Based on the report from the 4th W.P(C).No.28250 of 2014 E 2 respondent, the 3rd respondent shall finalise the proceedings in revision within a further period of two weeks based on the report.
The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
