ORDER:
Petitioner in the present writ petition complains of withdrawing security provided to him vide proceedings of the first respondent dated 16.08.2014.
2. By interim order of this Court dated 05.09.2014, the impugned order was suspended directing security cover provided to the petitioner to continue.
3. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Security, has filed a counter affidavit specifically stating in para 10 as follows:
“Nevertheless, the petitioner’s representation dated Nil to the Addl. DGP (Intelligence) has been taken into consideration and a decision to provide 1+1 PSOs temporarily and place the same before the Security Review Committee in the next meeting was taken and directions given to Respondent No.2 on 05-09-2014 accordingly. Even as his representation was under process, the petitioner approached this Hon’ble Court without waiting for the final decision for the reasons best known to him.”
4. In view of the above, therefore, since the petitioner’s security already stands restored, nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition.
The writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
