JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed to cancel the bail granted to the respondents/ accused in the order dated 11.04.2017 passed in C.M.P.No.2075/2014(in O.S.No.49/2014) by the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur. P.N.PRAKASH, J.

02. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that during the pendency of this petition for cancellation of bail, prosecution has completed the investigation and have filed a charge sheet in CC.No.478/2017 before the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur for offences under Sections 132 and 135 IPC of customs Act.
03. In view of the above, it may not be in the interest of justice to allow this petition at this distant point of time and especially when the accused is regularly appearing before the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur. However, If the accused thereafter absconds, a fresh FIR can be registered under Section 229A IPC. Accordingly, this petition is closed.
