This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction to the third respondent to accord police protection to the petitioner and its willing workers and also to ensure free ingress and egress of men and materials at the factory premises at 185/1A, Left Wing (Ground & First Floor), Adam Nagar Main Road, Pammal, Chennai- 600075.
2. When this Criminal Original Petition came up before this Court on 23.12.2016, this Court directed that the manufactured products shall be kept in the factory premises and the petitioner may be permitted to take away the moulds / other materials belonging to the third parties, and if required, the respondents were directed to give police protection. That order was passed as an interim measure to arrive at an amicable settlement.
3. Today, when this matter was taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 23.12.2016, the protesting workers are not preventing free ingress and egress of men and materials into the petitioner's factory, and therefore nothing survives in this Criminal Original Petition for further adjudication.
4. Recording the above statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
