Heard Sri Kamlesh Kumar Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondent no.1 and Sri Nishith Yadav, learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 2 and 3.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to extend the last date for submission of application form for U.P. Subordinate Service Examination pursuant to advertisement dated 6.7.2018.
The contention of the petitioner is that the last date for submission of the application form was 6.8.2018 and the preliminary examination was to be held on 18.8.2018 but on 4.8.2018, a notification was issued whereby the date of preliminary examination was extended to 28.10.2018.
Admittedly, the petitioner has not submitted his application form for U.P. Subordinate Service Examination and further there is no extension of last date for submission of application form. Merely because the date of preliminary examination has been extended from 18.8.2018 to 28.10.2018, the petitioner does not acquire any right to claim extension of the last date of submission of application forms. The petitioner has not been able to show any right which may lie in his favour that the last date for submission of application form can be extended.
In this view of the matter, no direction can be given as prayed.
The writ petition is thoroughly misconceived, lacks merits and it is, accordingly, dismissed.
