The petitioner is a holder of Ext.P1 No Objection Certificate issued by the District Collector for conducting quarrying operation under Ext.P1 permit. When the petitioner approached the Geologist for the purpose of renewal of Ext.P2 permit, the Geologist insisted for fresh NOC. It is challenging the above action, the petitioner has approached this Court. This Court has considered this issue in Ext.P5 judgment and held that renewal of Ext.P2 permit should be considered based on Ext.P1 No Objection Certificate issued by the District Collector without insisting for renewal of Ext.P1 NOC. 2. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the Geologist to consider the petitioner's application for renewal of Ext.P2 permit on the basis Ext.P1 NOC, without insisting for production of fresh NOC. Needful shall be done within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
