The prayer made in the present petition is to issue a direction to the Licensing Authority/District Magistrate Farrukhabad to decide the application dated 16.9.2016 for grant of fresh licence in his name for Gun License No. NP.Bore Rifle L.N.J.P. 182/81/72 which exists in the name of his father who is more than 75 years old.
Considering the said prayer, without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the present petition is being disposed of with the direction to the District Magistrate, Farrukhabad to decide the application of the petitioner dated 16.9.2016 for grant of firearms licence, expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order after getting the requisite formalities.
