Nagaiah, Advocate for R2 (Absent)) This Criminal Petition is filed u/s.482 of Cr.P.C praying to quash the entire proceedings in C.C.No.8648/2007 (Cr.No.13/2006) on the file of VIII A.C.M.M., Bangalore City, Bangalore for the offences P/U/S 498A, 506 of IPC read with 3 and 4 of D.P. Act, so far as the petitioner herein is concerned.
This Criminal petition coming on for Admission, this day, the Court made the following:
O R D E R Petitioner has sought to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.8648/2007 arising out of Crime No.13/2006 registered for the offences punishable under Section 498A, 506 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
2. Investigation is completed and charge sheet is laid against the accused persons for the above offences. The allegations made against the petitioner are sought to be substantiated through material evidence. As such, there is no ground to quash the proceedings. Further on going through the order sheet of this Court, it is seen that efforts were made at the instance of the Court to facilitate parties to reconcile their differences. Learned counsel appearing for the parties have jointly submitted that since then, parties have also not evinced any interest in prosecuting this petition.
Under the said circumstances, keeping open all the contentions raised in this petition and reserving liberty to take steps to compound the alleged offences, if desired, petition is disposed of.
