Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for State - respondents The limited relief prayed by the learned counsel for the petitioner is for a direction to the District Magistrate, Prayagraj, respondent no. 2 to decide the representation dated 1.11.2019 filed under section 6 of the U.P. Panchayatraj (maintenance of family register) Rules, 1970 within a fixed time frame.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of best efforts the application dated 1.11.2019 has not been decided.
On the aforesaid prayer, learned standing counsel has no objection.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the District Magistrate, Prayagraj, respondent no. 2 to decide the representation dated 1.11.2019 filed under section 6 of the U.P. Panchayatraj (maintenance of family register) Rules, 1970 in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits.
