The petitioner has prayed for the protection of his possession on the disputed pathway. Writ petition is not the appropriate remedy lies elsewhere. The dispute is between two private parties which has to be decided by the competent civil/revenue court. The petitioner has an alternative and efficacious remedy of approaching the competent court under relevant provisions of law.
The writ petition is dismissed on the ground of alternative remedy.
