Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State through Video Conferencing.
Petitioner is Chairman of Permanent Lok Adalat at Hardoi. He was alloted a house from the Judges Pool which is meant for the Judges of the District Court, as all the then Judges had already been alloted a house and nobody was without a Government Accommodation. Now several Judges have been transferred to Hardoi and they are in need of Government Accommodation accordingly the allotment made to the petitioner has been cancelled and the House No.J-2, Type-IV, which was allotted to the petitioner, has been allotted to one of the existing Judges. The petitioner is not entitled to allotment of Government Accommodation from the Judges Pool of district Hardoi. He is no longer part of the district judiciary. He is an ex-judicial officer, who has been appointed as Chairman of Permanent Lok Adalat.
The counsel for the petitioner could not place any Rule or Law under which he could claim for allotment of Accommodation from the Judges Pool. If he is entitled to Government Accommodation then he can approach District Magistrate concerned. If he has submitted representation in this regard and otherwise entitled to Accommodation then the District Magistrate concerned shall consider and dispose of his representation within 15 days from the receipt of copy of this order. There is no reason for this Court to interfere with the impugned order.
The petition is disposed of with above observation.
