Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
The petitioner being aggrieved by a notice dated 12.1.2021, issued by the respondent-corporation, requiring him to pay the arrears of electricity dues, failing which his electricity supply would be disconnected, has preferred the instant writ petition.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed objections against the demand notice issued in the past, but which has not been decided so far.
Sri Rajesh Yadav, learned counsel for the respondent-corporation states that the objection filed by the petitioner shall be decided by respondent no. 2 before proceeding any further on basis of the impugned disconnection notice.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the objection of the petitioner dated 26.2.2020 (annexure-5) by means of a speaking order. The disconnection of electricity supply in pursuance of the impugned notice shall abide by the decision that would be taken on the objections filed by the petitioner.
