Heard Sri Satyendra Kumar Mishra for the petitioner and Sri Sumit Kakkar for the respondents.
This writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing Regional Manager (respondent-1) to make payment of ex-gratia amount on compassionate ground to the petitioner.
It has been stated that Ashutosh Verma, husband of the petitioner, was Assistant Manager in State Bank of India. He died in harness on 3.11.2015. Although the ex-gratia amount was payable, but it has not been paid till today. The petitioner has moved a representation in this respect on 14.8.2017, which is pending.
The writ petition is disposed of directing Regional Manager (respondent- 1) to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 14.8.2017, in respect of payment of ex-gratia amount, ignoring the fact that the application was filed with an inordinate delay, within three months from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before him.
