Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
This petition challenges an order dated 11 June 2018, in terms of which the claim of the petitioner for being appointed as Anganbadi Karyakartri has come to be rejected for the reasons stated therein. From the order impugned, it is evident that both Smt. Kamla Devi as well as the petitioner attained equal marks. Faced with this situation, the District Magistrate has taken into consideration the relevant government orders which provide that in case of a tie in marks, it is the candidate who is older in age who is to be selected. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not demonstrate that this finding was factually incorrect nor was it disputed that Smt. Kamla Devi was older than the petitioner.
On an overall conspectus of the aforesaid facts, this Court finds no merit in the challenge levelled in this petition.
The petition shall consequently stand dismissed.
