Petitioner is a widow, whose husband was an agriculturist and has died in an accident. An application for payment of compensation under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Sarvahit Bima Yojna appears to have been instituted but a final decision in the matter has not been taken and hence this writ petition.
Since the scheme itself has been instituted for the welfare of the agriculturist and the beneficiary is a widow lady, her claim is required to be considered, expeditiously, in terms of the provisions contained in the scheme.
We dispose off this writ petition with a direction upon the second respondent to ensure that such claim of the petitioner is duly examined in terms of the scheme and appropriate action as is warranted in terms thereof are taken within a period of three months. Liberty stands reserved to the petitioner to annex details of her application alongwith her supporting documents together with a copy of this order.
