JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner is a lawyer practising at Thrissur. She complains about the inaction on part of the respondents in not publishing notice by which applications are invited for appointing President for the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. 2. According to her, as per the notification issued by the Government as well as the High Court, the District Judges concerned ought to have issued necessary intimation to the Bar Association, which has not been done. Petitioner is a member of Irinjalakuda Bar Association. According to her, no information was received in the said Bar Association, as a result of which she was unable to submit her bio data to the District Judge concerned within the time stipulated in the notification.
3. Apparently, time for submission of bio-data has already expired. The appointment of President of the Consumer Forum is based on a panel to be sent by the High Court on the basis of the bio-data received from competent persons. Ext. P2 is the notification of the Government. The notification was forwarded to all District Judges, which, in turn, had to be circulated to Bar Associations so that bio-data of competent persons, who are W.P(C) No. 7736 of 2014 -: 2 :-
willing to hold the post, should be collected and forwarded along with necessary confidential reports. As per the notifications at Ext. P3, applications and bio- data ought to have been received before 2.2.2014.
4. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Bar Association of Irinjalakkuda was not informed about such notification, it is clear from Exts. P2 and P3 that necessary instructions had been issued for circulating the notice to all the Bar Associations and there is no reason to assume that such method had not been adopted. In such circumstances, since the bio- data of the petitioner came to be received only subsequent to the cut off date, it will not be possible for this Court to direct the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner.
In the result, there being no merit in the writ petition the same is dismissed.
