JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 40
Case :- WRIT - C No. - 15220 of 2021 Petitioner :- Sultana Alias Soniya And Another Respondent :- State Of U P And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Ratnesh Kumar Srivastava,Vinai Prakash Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C
Hon'ble Jayant Banerji,J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent nos. 1, 2 and 3.
This petition has been filed with the following prayer:
"i. to issue writ in the nature of mandamus commanding respondents 1 to 3 and their officers and agents to give effective protection to the life and liberty of petitioners in accordance with the law.
ii. to issue suitable writ order or direction directing respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary action against respondent no. 4 and to take preventive measures against him and protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and to restrain respondent no. 4 to interfere in married life of the petitioners.
iii. to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the representation of petitioners dated 02.04.2021."
The contention is that the respondent no. 4 is harassing the petitioners because the petitioner no. 1, who is the daughter of the respondent no. 4 has married the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will. It is alleged that the respondent no. 4 is threatening them.
However, the learned Standing Counsel on the basis of the instructions received states that the Police Inspector of Police Station Kydganj, District Prayagraj has stated that the petitioners have no threat to their life and their family members have no objection to their marriage. Learned Standing Counsel further states that the petitioners have lawfully married as is reflected in the instructions received from the respondent concerned.
A copy of the instructions is kept on record.
In view of the instructions and the statement made by the learned Standing Counsel, no direction is required to be made. It is, accordingly, disposed of.
