Short counter affidavit dated 31.05.2018 has been filed today in the Court. Copy could not be served as the counsel for the petitioner is not present. The same is taken on record.
In paragraph 7 of the short counter affidavit it is stated that payment of pension and gratuity has been sanctioned by the Deputy Director, Local Bodies on 28.05.2018. The relevant Annexure has been filed as Annexure- 2 to the short counter affidavit, which states that a sum of Rs.6,21,968/- has been sanctioned towards gratuity, a sum of Rs.17,950/- has been determined as pension upto 31.12.2024 and thereafter a sum of Rs.10,770/- has been determined as family pension.
The respondents shall ensure that the sanctioned amounts are duly paid to the petitioner within one month from the date a certified copy of this order is received in their office.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as having become infructuous.
