Considering the nature of order proposed to be passed issuance of notice to the private opposite parties is dispensed with.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.G.A. for the State.
The petitioners herein have approached this Court seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties not to harass them and not to interfere in their peaceful married life.
Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the petitioners have married each other of their own volition and they are of the age of majority at the time of marriage. Petitioner No. 2, the alleged wife has annexed her High School certificate to demonstrate that she was of the age of marriage on the date of marriage.
If the petitioners are not wanted in any other case and if they have attained the age of majority as claimed and have married each other, then the Police Authorities will have no reason to interfere in their peaceful married life. With these observations/directions this writ petition is disposed off.
It is made made clear that we have not adjudicated the age of majority of the petitioners nor have we entered into the validity of marriage solemnized between the petitioners.
