JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruthani, Tiruvallur District, in Crime No.486 of 2016.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against one Ramki and the same was registered in Crime No.486 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as in the year 2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.486 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
