The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the court below to decide Case No. 1314 of 2017 filed by the petitioner u/S 13 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 against respondent no.1 within a specified time frame.
It is stated in the petition that even application under Section 24 of the Act has not been disposed of so far.
Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent. In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
The petition is accordingly, disposed of.
