JUDGMENT / ORDER

~~~~~~~~~~~ Petitioner filed this Writ Petition alleging that her daughter, Sheharban, was abducted by the 4th respondent from her custody on 16.5.2014 and that despite registering a crime on her complaint the police did not set her daughter at liberty from the illegal detention of the 4th respondent . By order dated 21.5.2014, this Writ Petition was admitted and the detenue was ordered to be produced before us today. Though the detenue was present in court today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that acting upon the complaint of the petitioner, the detenue was traced out by the police and was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Kasargod on 16.5.2014 and that she has been entrusted to her custody. It is stated that since then the detenue is in the custody of the petitioner. W.P.(Crl) No.209/2014 2 2. Now that the detenue has been restored to the custody of the petitioner and a criminal case is reported to be proceeded against the 4th respondent, this Writ Petition is closed, directing respondents 2 and 3 that the criminal case registered against the 4th respondent and others shall be proceeded against and that the matter shall be taken to its logical conclusions.
