Petitioner is seeking compassionate appointment in the Department of Posts consequent upon death of deceased employee in harness.
Sri Yogendra Kumar, learned counsel for the authorities of the Union of India has raised an objection with regard to maintainability of writ petition in view of the law laid down by the Apex Court in L. Chandra Kumar v. Union of India, (1995) 1 SCC 400. Remedy of the petitioner, at the first instance, would be to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal against his grievance.
Leaving it open for the petitioner to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal in respect of his grievance, this petition is consigned to records.
